My husband and I got married at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in September. From the unique venue, to several speeches, performances, and impromptu dance numbers, our wedding heavily relied on having a DJ who was very flexible and experienced with different set-ups. Ross took on our many requests, and handled them perfectly and with ease.

From the moment we booked Ross, he was extremely responsive. He would answer my countless emails right away, and even went through my wedding timeline to provide very thoughtful feedback on the schedule and flow of the events.

I was particularly impressed with Ross' care and attention to detail. We had a very international wedding party, and he took the time to patiently learn everyone's names. He also spoke with us in length about our music preferences. My husband is known for the many dance parties he's thrown through the years--thanks to Ross' immense talent, our friends came up for weeks afterward to rave about how the music captured our personalities perfectly.

We gave Ross the impossible task of creating a playlist that was cool, hip and kept people dancing, easy enough right? Not with our guest list...we varied from young to old, city to country folk, and everyone in between! It was very important to my husband and I that there be a wide variety of music for everyone to dance to. We basically asked for the "Unicorn of Mixes" and he DELIVERED!!

The dance floor was packed from the first to the last song, he did a great job emceeing and made points to check in with us throughout the night.

Wow. If you are looking for a DJ in the DC/MD/VA area, look no further. Ross and Bela Sono Music is the best! From our first conversation, it was clear that Ross is incredibly organized, fun, and talented. He asks all of the right questions, and makes planning a wedding reception easy. To top it all off, his music choices are spot on!

Ross kept everyone dancing all night, and we still have guests telling us that he's the best wedding DJ they've ever heard.

Ross was referred to us through one of my coworkers, and I am so incredibly grateful for the referral. This was the first vendor that we booked, and it was the easiest. I honestly could not have asked for the day to go better!

Ross did such an amazing job with both our ceremony and reception, I don't know if there are enough words to describe it. The music selection was great, with a little something for everyone to get them up and dancing. When we met Ross, we could both tell right away that our wedding was in good hands with this guy. Ross was able to not only answer all of our questions, but also provide suggestions based on previous experience. He recommended floor lighting for the dancefloor and colored fog machines for our grand exit, he helped us develop our final timeline and was flexible with making last minute changes to it, and was really just an awesome person and made us feel comfortable and at ease knowing that he was going to put on a great party.

Just one additional thing I wanted to mention and is on a more personal note: My 88-year-old grandfather, who broke his hip last year and has been complaining his way through physical therapy since then, was on the dance floor, dancing with my Grandma. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen and I'm sure it was the first time he has danced in a very long time. My dad kept asking if he and my grandma were ready to go so that he could walk them back to the hotel, but both of them kept saying no while sitting there wearing matching glowstick necklaces. They both stayed for the entire reception!

I can not give a more positive review for Bela Sono Music, and Ross Anderson in particular. Ross was easy to get ahold of, very accommodating with our schedule, and extremely friendly and fun to work with. But the best thing about Ross was how intuitively he understood the vibe we were going for. In meeting with Ross, he picked up on not only our music preferences, but the rhythm, pace and atmosphere we were hoping to achieve. Ross gave us guidance on how to structure the reception, and then nailed the execution. We had multiple guest pull us aside and complement us on the music, which speaks volumes to what Ross brings to the table. If you are looking for someone to help create a truly special night, while never pulling attention away from the bride and groom, then you will be in great hands with Ross.

Also, the up-lighting he provided was phenomenal, and really tied the whole venue together. It's an added element well worth the additional cost.

Ross was the perfect DJ and had the dance floor moving until the end of the night. He was very responsive and professional through the entire process and was able to adapt to anything asked. We were specifically pleased he took the time to get to know us and made a set list we loved with little to know guidance. People from the wedding still talk about how good he was to this day.

DJ Ryan was absolutely phenomenal and provided the afrobeats-heavy soundtrack of our dream wedding -- everybody danced all night long!

We are eternally grateful for the professionalism and flexibility at Bela Sono as well. After we accidentally gave the wrong date for the original contract (!!!), Bela Sono quickly pivoted and made sure we had a DJ for our wedding on the correct date. We were so thrilled with Bela Sono's services at our wedding! I wasn't sure how I was going to know which DJ service to use but when I talked to Ross, it was so obvious how thoughtful he was and I felt like he really listened. We had a very productive sit-down session the week before the wedding, and he guided us through the night and made sure that we covered every angle. Then, on the actual wedding night, he killed it! He kept the dance floor going strong the whole night. He played every song on our "must-play" list and managed to keep everyone engaged with a good balance of old and new music. Ross is amazing. We found him at a wedding show and I am so happy I did! He is young, professional, and really knows what he is doing. He worked with my husband and I to make a wedding sound track that was unique to us and made an amazing party. The music was amazing all night. The dance floor was full all night long, even for the final song everyone was still jumping! He also provided lighting for the wedding and it was beautiful. He started very warm and calm during dinner and then when the music went up the lights did too! He did an awesome light show that really helped set the tone of the party. All my guests told me that my DJ was great and they loved the music and lights! I never had to worry about Ross, I knew he would do what he said he was going to and more. He is so easy to work with and really listens to you to make your day as unique as you are.

This was one of the easiest decisions I made while planning our wedding. From the very first phone call I had with Ross, I felt right at ease. We had a collaborative conversation about the style of music we like, sent a few must haves, and Ross took it from there filling in the rest perfectly. We really appreciate all of the advice Ross gave us on specific ideas we had and on how to best make everything flow together. You can just tell that he genuinely enjoys his work. All of our guests had such a great time and many made sure to tell us later how excellent the DJ was!

Ross was absolutely excellent! One of the best decision I made in regards to the wedding (except selecting the groom) was deciding to hire Bela Sono music! He was very quick to return emails, thoughtful and helpful in organizing our evening, and incredibly flexible on the day of - even playing music for my inebriated bridesmaids after the groom and I had made our exit and officially ended the evening (thanks for being such a good sport, Ross!) We were so happy with Ross at Bela Sono Music! His level of professionalism, personal touch, and attention to detail was off the charts and his mix of music at the reception kept our families and friends dancing the whole time. He was very helpful in planning the schedule of the reception to keep everything flowing nicely. His organized lists of songs and styles to choose from for different parts of the reception really helped us narrow down our final music choices! The surround sound and colored lights added a nice touch and the music sounded perfect no matter where you were in the tent. Ross even took the time to ask about lighting color preference, to make sure he had the correct pronunciation of the names of the bridal party, AND to remind us (the bride and groom) to take the time to relax and eat our dinners! Ross did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. When we met with him before the wedding, we went over the kind of feel we were going for in the wedding. He completely understood us and all of our guests loved the music he played. Ross started off the reception playing classic love songs and gradually moved up the decades, then played top 40, then play the classic sing-a-longs. It was great! We had so much fun dancing all night.

Ross went above and beyond as our DJ. He listened to what we wanted and definitely delivered on our wedding day. He met with us beforehand to go over the sequence of events for our big day, gave us suggestions that we didn't even think of, was super patient with us, played all of our "must have" songs and did everything we asked (and more!). On our wedding day he arrived early, was very professional and hyped up the room during our introductions. He read the crowd and kept everyone on their feet all night. Our guests raved how wonderful our wedding was and a large part of that was because of Ross. I have recommended him to everyone I know who is having a wedding in the area. We have been to two weddings since our wedding where he was the DJ, and he just continues to outdo himself. Ross did such a wonderful job and I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

My now wife and I were fortunate enough to see a trial of Ross prior to hiring him as our DJ for our own wedding. We have a lot of local friends and family, and we actually got to see him in action at three other weddings before our own, so it made our choice easy. We didn't even want to talk to any other DJs because we thought he was awesome at the other weddings. He does a great job of mixing in a wide variety of songs while keeping people on the dance floor from start to finish. He will even take any requests that you have beforehand and finds a great place to fit them in (we only had three requests; I recommend that you just let Ross do his thing and more just guide him on the types of songs you want rather than trying to pick your entire playlist).

What we didn't know beforehand is everything else he did to ensure the day went smoothly. When we met with him to go over all the details of what he would be doing, he even went over our entire minute by minute playbook for the day to make sure that we had realistic times listed and to strategize on making our rounds to visit our guests. We ending up adjusting our schedule per his recommendations, and everything he had suggested made it work out for the better.

Ross was our DJ. And let me just say....he killed it. First of all, SUCH a nice, cool guy. The planning process was so easy and even when I sent him a few last minute requests, he happily said he'd work them in. He also made great recommendations about when to cut off the official dance songs. During the reception itself, he was so professional (in terms of announcements/herding guests in, etc), did a fantastic job of playing to all generations and working in pretty much everything we asked for. We received so many compliments on his work, and a couple of engaged couples asked for his info. My husband and I keep commenting on how the music set the tone/vibe of the evening and we were SO happy Ross helped make our wedding unforgettable.

Hiring Ross as our DJ was one of the smartest decisions we made for our wedding. We had such a blast and everyone was dancing the entire time- which was really important to me. I don't think anyone even attempted to request songs because his choices were so good (and I had only given him a few songs to play and my general preferences). Ross was awesome- you can't go wrong.

Ross Anderson was our fantastic wedding DJ. He was extremely professional through out our whole experience with him. We were also impressed with his personality as a wedding DJ-- he was classy but also really fun. I also really liked how Ross had pictures available about what their set up would look like at our venue (Woodend Sanctuary). The speakers, etc had a small footprint-- the sound quality, etc was also fantastic. Definitely Recommend :-)

ROSS is amazing!! My husband and I met with Ross one time about 3 weeks before our wedding (we procrastinated) and immediately I felt at ease. Ross is a true professional and took the stress away. He was very accommodating with the music we wanted to play and made it happen without any question. ... The dance floor was packed the whole night! Only down side was we had so much fun we didn't get to eat any cake :)
